Am I Eligible for Wegovy?
Wegovy weight loss injections are generally suitable for adults aged 18 and over with a BMI of 30+, or 27-30 with a related health condition such as high blood pressure, sleep apnoea or prediabetes. It isn’t suitable for everyone — a history of eating disorders, pancreatitis, or Type 1 diabetes would usually exclude you, and our pharmacist will check your full medical history at your consultation.
What Happens at My Consultation?
Your appointment includes a BMI and waist measurement, blood pressure check, and a review of your health conditions and current medicines. If Wegovy is suitable, our pharmacist will agree a personalised dosing plan with you, starting low and increasing gradually.

Wegovy is prescribed after a clinical assessment to confirm it’s suitable for you, then dispensed in increasing strengths as your treatment progresses. Ozempic (semaglutide) is also available where appropriate — ask our pharmacist for pricing at your consultation.

Side Effects of Wegovy
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal — nausea, diarrhoea or constipation — particularly when starting or increasing your dose, and these often settle over time. Your pharmacist will monitor your progress and how you’re tolerating treatment at regular check-ins.
