Why Get the Flu Vaccine?
Flu can cause a week or more of fever, aches and exhaustion, and occasionally more serious complications such as chest infections. The vaccine is updated each year to target the strains expected to circulate that winter, and remains one of the most effective ways to reduce your risk.
Who Is This Private Service For?
Our private flu vaccination is open to anyone who wants protection but isn’t currently eligible for a free NHS flu jab — including many working-age adults without a qualifying health condition, and those who simply want to be vaccinated straight away rather than waiting for an NHS slot.
When Should I Get Vaccinated?
The best time is early in the autumn, before flu starts circulating widely, so your immunity has time to build before winter. It’s still worth having later in the season if you haven’t yet been vaccinated.
How Many Doses Do I Need?
The flu vaccine is a single annual dose, as immunity fades and the vaccine formulation changes from one year to the next.
Side Effects of the Flu Vaccine
Most side effects are mild: soreness at the injection site, tiredness or a slight temperature for a day or two. Serious reactions are rare, and our pharmacist will check your suitability before vaccinating.

What our patients say
Trusted by the Chiswick community
“I’ve been using Alisha pharmacy for 20 years now. I have other pharmacies nearer to my home, but I always use Alisha because Raj and all the rest of the team there are so friendly, professional, knowledgeable, informative and helpful. They obviously really care about what they do. A local gem.”
— P Hall, Google Review
“Raj the pharmacist runs a service of excellence and care to his local community. He and his team go above and beyond and know their community. The standard has always been exemplary. Would be such a tragedy to lose all of this to something impersonal and generic.”
— Harika Basharan, Google Review
