What Are Wegovy Tablets?
Wegovy tablets contain semaglutide — the same active ingredient as the Wegovy injection — in a once-daily tablet form. They work by mimicking the GLP-1 hormone, telling your brain you’re satisfied so you eat less, and are a good option for anyone who would prefer to avoid a weekly injection.
Am I Eligible for Wegovy Tablets?
Wegovy tablets are generally suitable for adults aged 18 and over with a BMI of 30+, or 27-30 with a related health condition such as high blood pressure, sleep apnoea or prediabetes. It isn’t suitable for everyone — a history of eating disorders, pancreatitis, or Type 1 diabetes would usually exclude you, and our pharmacist will check your full medical history at your consultation.
What Happens at My Consultation?
Your appointment includes a BMI and waist measurement, blood pressure check, and a review of your health conditions and current medicines. If Wegovy tablets are suitable, our pharmacist will agree a personalised dosing plan with you, starting low and increasing gradually.
Wegovy Tablets (Oral Semaglutide) Pricing

| 1.5mg (30 tablets) | £129 |

Side Effects of Wegovy Tablets
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal — nausea, diarrhoea or constipation — particularly when starting or increasing your dose, and these often settle over time. Your pharmacist will monitor your progress and how you’re tolerating treatment at regular check-ins.

What our patients say
Trusted by the Chiswick community
“I’ve been using Alisha pharmacy for 20 years now. I have other pharmacies nearer to my home, but I always use Alisha because Raj and all the rest of the team there are so friendly, professional, knowledgeable, informative and helpful. They obviously really care about what they do. A local gem.”
— P Hall, Google Review
“Raj the pharmacist runs a service of excellence and care to his local community. He and his team go above and beyond and know their community. The standard has always been exemplary. Would be such a tragedy to lose all of this to something impersonal and generic.”
— Harika Basharan, Google Review
