What Is the Needle Exchange Service?
Needle exchange is a harm reduction service that provides clean, sterile injecting equipment and a safe way to dispose of used needles, helping to reduce the spread of blood-borne infections such as HIV and hepatitis.
Who Can Use This Service?
The service is available to anyone who needs it, free of charge and without judgement. You don’t need a prescription, referral, or to be registered with our pharmacy to access it.
How Does It Work?
Simply visit us during opening hours and speak to a member of our team in confidence. We’ll provide clean equipment and take back used items for safe disposal, in a private, non-judgemental setting.
Support Beyond Equipment
Our team can also point you towards local drug and alcohol support services, blood-borne virus testing, and other harm reduction resources, if and when you want them.
Confidentiality
This is a completely confidential service — our team is here to support you, not to judge, and your visit is treated with the same discretion as any other pharmacy consultation.

What our patients say
Trusted by the Chiswick community
“I’ve been using Alisha pharmacy for 20 years now. I have other pharmacies nearer to my home, but I always use Alisha because Raj and all the rest of the team there are so friendly, professional, knowledgeable, informative and helpful. They obviously really care about what they do. A local gem.”
— P Hall, Google Review
“Raj the pharmacist runs a service of excellence and care to his local community. He and his team go above and beyond and know their community. The standard has always been exemplary. Would be such a tragedy to lose all of this to something impersonal and generic.”
— Harika Basharan, Google Review
